• Shivaratri the night of Siva.. even more ancient
• Festival of Ganesh--who has the head of an elephant

• The fabulous Damascus or UKKU steel was made somewhere nearby
• Cave paintings near Hyderabad (neolithic?)
• Prehistoric Megaliths in Hyderabad --huge megalithic granite tombs
• Surabhi Theatre, founded 1899. Unlikely to last much longer, though
• Nadasvaram, traditional trumpet or reed instrument
• Cycle rickshaws, human pedalled transport. Used to be very common, fewer seen today.
• autorickshaws --three wheeled taxis, zipping all over the city.
